My Cancer Journey: Surviving & Living with Cancer – Part 1

Nancy Lyons was diagnosed with cancer in 2019. It came out of the blue – it was sudden, it was more serious than you would hope a cancer diagnosis would be, and the doctors all agreed – the plan was not to cure it, it was to manage it and learn how to continue managing it for the rest of her life.

This was a blow, but Nancy made it through the journey. She undertook aggressive treatment to get the cancer to a place which is manageable – not gone, but not growing. Her new normal is, well, just that – a very new normal. She is able to live a fulfilled life, with cancer, and plans to do that for the rest of her life.

Join Nancy in this 2-part series as she shares her story with us – going through aggressive cancer treatment and now living with cancer, and all the emotions and lessons learned that come along with it.
