As you know, I’m a big believer in sharing life with others. I believe that everything we have each experienced can benefit other people if we allow it to.

When I was invited for an interview by Authority Magazine and Thrive Global as part of their Second Chapters: How I Reinvented Myself in the Second Chapter of My Life Series, I hesitated. Not because I didn’t want to participate in the interview, but because I wasn’t sure my story was worthy. However, I feel so honored to have had this opportunity, and after I overcame that self-doubt, I had an amazing time in the process.

It has been so long since I sat down and talked about MY story. I knew that it would bring up emotions as I relived my path to where I am today, but it was a good journey to go on. It reminded me all of the challenges and adversities I overcame to get to where I am today and made me realize that every accomplishment, no matter how small, is important and contributes to getting you to where you want to be.

I wanted to share my story with you – and I hope that you feel inspired to share your story too. I would love to hear whatever parts of your story you would like to share in the comments.

Here’s a short excerpt from the interview:

Positivity and always seeing the glass half full. I am endlessly positive. I dream, and for me, the dream is my new reality. From all the challenges I have been through, positivity is the one thing that has kept me going. Losing a husband, creating a career from scratch in my 50’s, raising 6 children on my own — I could not have made it past these challenges without waking up every morning and reminding myself of the positive things to look forward to.
