This Explore & Experience will be a live tour, where you join Zol, a professional Mongolian tour guide, to visit a local family living in a portable round yurt in the world’s coldest capital, Ulaanbaatar. See the daily routine when it’s -25°F (-30°C) outside.

She will show you how local citizens live in a Ger, a portable and eco-friendly dwelling that has been used by nomads for centuries. You’ll get to know a family living in this yurt, and you’ll see hand-made traditional clothes called ‘Deel’ and hear about the tailoring process. Zol will then tell you about the nomadic culture through their family activities, such as Mongolian greeting with a snuff bottle, cooking traditional Mongolian milk tea, and playing a knucklebone game.
