All Alive, Fit & Free classes & events are offered live online. All you need to participate is an internet connection and smartphone, tablet, or laptop. All of our classes are adaptive, which means we offer multiple variations of movements to cater to every ability level, both standing or seated.

Class Descriptions
All of our classes & events bring fun, energy, and community that allow your residents to start living alive, fit & free.
ADAPTIVE FITNESS AND STRENGTH TRAINING
Our adaptive fitness and strength training class targets all muscle groups in the body and focuses on functional fitness moves that we do every day. We begin with a warm-up, and combine strength-training with body-weight and fun movement patterns to raise our cardiovascular rate and increase the oxygen level in the bloodstream. We end with a gentle cool down. This adaptive class is great for all levels.
adaptive line dance
Our dance fusion class, or movement fusion for those of you that are scared of the word dance, contains a variety of line dances, country western dance steps, and ballroom dance. Dancing has been proven to be one of the highest activities to reduce stress, improve balance and coordination, and reduce memory loss. Our dance routines can be done in the chair or standing. This class is sure to have you tapping your toes and clapping along and leave with a smile on your face.
adaptive MARTIAL ARTS
This class integrates Qigong and T’ai Chi along with kickboxing and other martial arts inspired movements to give you a taste of the benefits that practicing martial arts can bring. Beginners and de-conditioned individuals will also improve strength and endurance. This class may be done standing or seated.
CONDITIONING & TONING BOOTCAMP
In this fun interval bootcamp, we will tone our muscles and strengthen our heart and cardiovascular system. Everybody is welcome to join. Do the exercises at your own pace and work your body at your fitness level. No equipment needed! This class can be done seated or standing.
Energy Up Adaptive Fitness
Our energy up system is a specialized combination of moves drawing from Naam 5, which comes from Naam Yoga, and regular fitness and aerobic moves. It is an upbeat cardiovascular workout that helps to maintain a healthy heart rate, good circulation, and enhance overall energy levels. It helps to relieve stress, depression and anxiety, improve your health, and gives you a beautiful glow. It is great for all levels and is by far our most popular class!
ENHANCING IMMUNITY WITH BREATH AND MOVEMENT
This class focuses on specific breath work and movements, drawn from Naam Yoga, which help get your blood flowing and energize and strengthen your vital organs. Naam Yoga incorporates the use of movement, breath work, hand positions, and sound in a systematic way designed to relieve chronic and emotional pain, manage stress, and bring balance to the body, mind, and spirit. This class oxygenates the bloodstream, increases and strengthens the heart and lungs, and enhances your body’s ability to fight disease. This class is for all abilities.
Explore & Experience Series
Explore & Experience is our virtual travel series that we host at least once a month. We partner with global tour guides to provide interactive tours & live experiences to bring the tastes, traditions, and sights of countries around the world to your residence!
flamenco
The Flamenco is a solo dance characterized by hand clapping, percussive footwork, and intricate hand, arm, and body movements. In this class, instructor Angelina has developed a Flamenco class specifically for older adults and accommodates both seated or standing variations. This class is great for beginners or Flamenco dancers of all levels.
MAT PILATES
The main focus of Pilates is building core strength and muscle balance, practicing proper breathing, and supporting good spinal alignment. These factors are key to living an independent, pain-free lifestyle. In this class, we will practice Pilates on the mat. It is a total body work-out using no weights or equipment other than your yoga mat on the floor. Modifications are given for beginner to intermediate levels.
MEDITATION & MINDFULNESS
In this class, we will bring the body and mind to a completely relaxed state, activating the rest and digest nervous system – the parasympathetic nervous system. We will calm the mind and body, and we will become ultimately ready, tranquil, at peace and calm for anything that may come our way. Can be done seated or on the mat.
qigong / T'ai chi fusion
A Qigong and T’ai Chi inspired class to improve breathing, increase range of motion with gentle stretching, and promote better balance, both physical balance and the balance of body and mind. Beginners and de-conditioned individuals will also improve strength and endurance. May be done standing or seated.
Yoga for Daily life movement
This yoga class consists of various postures, called asanas, that are combined with deep breathing techniques. Yoga helps increase flexibility, balance metabolism, reduce stress and anxiety, improve circulation, and enhance balance and coordination. Yoga is a gentle and effective way to release stress and improve your mood. This class is great for all levels.
TRAVEL & TALK Series
In our new Travel & Talk Series, participants explore a different part of the world while learning basic language fundamentals with an experienced langauge teacher & tour guide. Learning a new language has shown to decrease memory loss and create new neural pathways in the brain. Join this class for some fun sightseeing!
