Meditation & Mindfulness

In this class, we will bring the body and mind to a completely relaxed state, activating the rest and digest nervous system – the parasympathetic nervous system. We will calm the mind and body, and we will become ultimately ready, tranquil, at peace and calm for anything that may come our way.

This class can be done seated or on the mat.

Donna Lewen

Donna Lewen, BA, ATRIC has 30+ years of experience in aquatics and land-based therapeutic exercise training with clients aged 3 to 103. She trained for the Arthritis Foundation for 20+ years and received the Arthritis Foundation Regional Public Health Partnership Award; University of Pittsburgh Community Service Award, December 2013. In 2016 she was awarded the ATRI Aquatic Therapy Professional of the Year. Donna is also an Ai Chi Master Trainer. Her specialty is relieving chronic pain and stress. She integrates ancient teachings with science. A big part of her method of healing includes intuitive movement to dissolve pain and emotions stored in the fascia. Beyond her aquatic and land practice, she facilitates training on spiritual self-mastery. Her studies include Energy Medicine, AumaKhua-Ki®, Reiki, I Am Yoga Nidra®, Jin Shin Jyutsu®, Shamanism, Mindfulness Meditation, Ai Chi, Akashic Records, and T’ai Chi. She recently traveled to India to deepen her knowledge, study Yoga and Yoga Nidra, and received the blessings of Shaktipot.
