Live Virtual Tour: Roman Celebrations in Merida, Spain
The city of Merida was one of the most important cities in the Roman world and in Spain during this period in history.
In this tour, we will have a look at some of the old Roman sites which are part of the Unesco Heritage list since 1993. Moreover, we will be visiting at a very special time – during the last weekend of May, Merida celebrates Roman-style! Reenactors from all over Europe will be bringing history back to life. As we walk through the town, we will be able to see some of their Roman displays, markets, and more!
