Explore & Experience: a walk through History & Culture in Downtown Budapest
We will start our trip in the heart of Budapest, at Pest side, at the Danube Promenade, where you
can enjoy the beautiful World Heritage Sites – the panorama of Buda with the main highlights and
some of the main bridges of the city. Yes – Budapest is actually made up of two cities – Buda & Pest! We will explore both in this tour.
We will pass by the spectacular Vigado Concert Hall building with its amazing architecture before we arrive to one of the main pedestrian street areas, at Vorosmarty Square. Here we will see the oldest and Pest’s most famous confectionary shop, the Gerbeaud Cafe.
We will stroll down the streets and arrive to one of our famous squares, Szechenyi square, where our
amazing St. Stephen’s Basilica stands proudly. This area is so busy and popular both for visitors and
locals due to the various great restaurants, bars, and nightlife.
Besides our rich history, you will also learn how is to live as a local here, what are the local’s
favorite places, what foreign visitors like the most about the city, and of course, I give you my top
recommendation of places – what to visit, where to stay, where to eat, drink, relax, etc.
Our last stop will be the most unique and important building of Budapest, the Hungarian House of
Parliament, with its breathtaking architecture. I have interesting stories to tell about it as well and at
the end you will have a little surprise from me. ☺️
Looking forward to meeting you on this interactive tour and sharing my passion for my
wonderful city. This will be a live interactive virtual tour, with a 15-minute Q&A afterwards!
